The NJAGC June meeting was held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, June 23, 2018, in Berkeley Heights, NJ. There were 9 members in attendance. A treasury report was not given as the treasurer was absent.
After an amazing lunch of smoked meat and accompanying salads, Myron began to tell us about us tank.
Members participated in trimming and repositioning plants to reconfigure background and foreground placement. His 90 gallon tank was established roughly a year ago. The substrate is ADA Aqua Soil and there is no CO2 used in his aquarium, only Excel dosing. Water changes are done every 2 weeks at 25%. The livestock includes rummy nose tetras, clown loaches, gouramis and black mollies. The fish are fed New Life Spectrum food every other day. Lighting consists of two TMC Aqua Gro LED fixtures turned on for 8 hours daily.
Regular plant swap took place around 3 pm.
Meeting wrapped up around 4:30 / 5 pm as the last members left.
A great time was had by all. Thank you, Myron and family, for opening up your home to us.
